Revenge

It still haunts me everywhere. In every possible reflection: the dark grey Pikachu with red glowing eyes, dark red cheeks, stripes and the tip on it's ears. It smiles at me through the reflections, trying to trick me to stay at the reflection and get me inside the freaky Pokémon world again. I don't want to see it anymore, so that's why I'm writing this letter so everyone can read it and watch out for the dark grey Pikachu..

My name is Kevin, and all of this started when I was 15 years old. I had just gotten my Pokémon Platinum version from the store. I was so excited, it seemed just great comparing to Pokémon Diamond. I really loved Giratina and I was excited over seeing his world, the Distortion World. When I had picked the game up from the store, I cycled my way home and opened my pink DS and started playing. I picked Chimchar as my starter and named him Marwin. He was the best starter you could ever get, he was loyal, never hurting himself during confusion and he had a very high attack. I really loved my Chimchar who later evolved into Infernape. Of course, I had other Pokémon too like Staraptor and Garchomp, but no one was like Marwin.  Anyhow. When we first visited the Trophy Garden, I battled a male Pikachu that occasionally held a light ball, unfortunately Marwin was too strong and defeated it. I felt down because Pikachu has always been my number one favorite Pokémon and now I just burned it down... Since Pikachu is pretty rare in the Trophy garden, I decided to continue with the story mode I would come back to the garden later anyway to catch another Pikachu. And so... Finally I was there, at Giratina's Distortion World. How I had waited for this epic moment! When I first saw Giratina's evil face coming up from it's own made hole in the ground, I got terrified. It all were so real. And Cyrus, that sick man, I just wanted to beat his face because of his naive ideas about taking over the world by hurting Pokémon. Anyway, I followed Cynthia down into the Distortion World and finally, I was standing before the great Ghost Pokémon who was banned from the Pokémon world by Arceus. I was going to catch Giratina, because I wanted to have him in my team along with Marwin, Staraptor and Garchomp.

Text appeared on the screen along with Giratina's cry and Giratina himself.
The Distortion World's Giratina appeared!
But something was wrong, I saw a tiny figure next to Giratina, something that looked like a Pikachu, but it's fur was dark grey like the colour of ash and it eyes were red, piercing through my soul. It had a big smile with sharp teeth, teeth that could tear apart anything. I know the game wasn't programmed to be like this because I had seen a few videos of the Giratina battles before and they didn't have this Pikachu... I just shrugged my shoulders and sent out Marwin, but the game required another Pokémon to be sent out. I found this odd because no legendary Pokémon battle had been a double battle before. I sent out my Staraptor, sparing Garchomp.

The dark grey Pikachu let out a disturbing cry, sounding like a roaring wolf and it's cheeks started to glow red.
Wolf started to charge!
The text on the screen said.
"OK.." I thought and told Marwin to Flare Blitz this Pikachu called Wolf. I ordered Staraptor to use Featherdance on Giratina.
Marwin used Flare Blitz!
Wolf avoided!
Wolf charged at Marwin and clawed him!

I stared at the screen as blood, real fucking blood splattered all over the screen. Marwin sank to the ground and disappeared like he had fainted. Wolf's paws were bloody and blood ran down from the corner of his mouth.
Marwin died!
I saw that Giratina's eyes were staring at Marwin's dead body, which I couldn't see, and it's mouth turned into a sick, twisted smile. Sweat streamed down my spine. "This has to be some glitch".., I thought and threw out Garchomp.
Giratina used Shadow Force!
Giratina disappeared suddenly and I ordered my Staraptor to fly and Garchomp to use Dragon Rush on Wolf. Wolf avoided the attack with ease.
Wolf used howl!
A real wolf's howl echoed through the DS's speakers and I just stared at the screen, astonished and terrified.
Wolf's attack rose!
The screen told me. Giratina were visible now and used its Shadow Force on my Garchomp and one hitted him.
Garchomp died!
The screen told me and I felt tears burning in my eyes. What the fuck was happening?!
Suddenly Wolf's body started to transform, and I heard bones snap, and suddenly a mix between a wolf and Pikachu was standing there, looking psychotic. Drool mixed with blood was running from it's mouth, big eyes glowing red.
Wolf transformed!
The screen said. Staraptor used, or tried to use, fly on Wolf but as before, the freaky wolf creature avoided. I searched in my bag for my Master Ball and I threw it at Giratina, wanting this sick battle to end, but Wolf threw itself in front of Giratina, stopping the ball from hitting it. Then Wolf jumped over to my Pokémons platform and ripped Staraptor's throat. I saw my last Pokémon falling down to the ground, dead.
The Wolf seeks revenge!
The screen told me and suddenly the battle ended. I let out a sigh of relief and my character was standing in a black hole, he wasn't in Distortion World anymore. I frowned and clicked up the menu, clicked at the "POKÈMON" sign. My dear Pokémon were there, but their sprites were light gray, almost like a spirit. I clicked on Marwin and looked at his sprite. I didn't hear his usual cute monkey cry, he was totally silent, his golden armor was broken and his stomach had three deep scratch marks on it. I swallowed and went down to Staraptor. Her head were lying next to her body which where lying on the "ground". I didn't hear her cry. I went down to Garchomp, and his eyes were.. Well he didn't have any eyes anymore, he just had two dark holes without anything in them. His fins were also torn off. I felt a tear running down my left cheek, I quickly brushed it away and exited the Pokémon menu.

I started to walk around with my character when a sudden light appeared. The Pikachu was standing there, not as a wolf anymore. He ran towards my character and he headbutted my characters stomach. Suddenly, I felt an exploding pain in my own stomach. I screamed in pain and fainted. A few minutes later I woke up in a black area with nothing. Wolf was standing before me. I screamed and tried to back away from him, but he just shook his head and smiled freakishly.
"You are mine now, I'm going to revenge on you for burning me up..." a cold voice echoed in the dark area. I saw Wolf's mouth moving along with the words. I shook my head, I must have been sick or something, this couldn't be happening for real.
Wolf charged at me and I felt his fangs biting through my skin on my arm. I shrieked in pain and tried to knock him off, but in vain. His teeth were digging deeper into my skin... or fur. My arm was yellow and chubby. He had turned me into his former self, the yellow Pikachu holding a Light Ball. Wolf let go of my arm and a evil laugh escaped his mouth. His mouth were full of my blood. I started to run, limping, but still running for my life. Suddenly I was back at my house, in my bed where my DS was lying in my lap as a human again. I looked at my arm, bite marks glowed red on my pale skin. I looked at my calendar on the wall, with Pikachu images on it ironically. The date was 25 June. Two months had passed since I bought my Platinum and started playing.
Yesterday was 18 May, but now it was 25 June...
I rose up from my bed and started running. I stopped at the bathroom. I had seen something dark grey with a twisted smile in the mirror instead of my own ruffled brown hair and pale face. I shook my head and started running again, out from the house. I needed to contact someone, maybe the police? I just wanted to get away from my DS and Platinum version. I stopped at the river close to my house, catching my breath. And it was there I saw Wolf. His eyes were glowing red and he laughed coldly.
"I will haunt you and revenge on you, you can't get away from me..." his voice whispered. I screamed in fear and started running again.

Today it's 25th July and I'm still haunted by the Wolf, so that's why I'm writing this letter to you, dear reader, never buy Platinum, it's haunted. And please, if you see a twisted smile and a distorted dark grey Pikachu. Run, run for your life.
